Dr. Newkirk seeks the same result regardless of a leader’s situation: Leadership Mastery. When Dr. Newkirk began consulting, there were very few efforts underway to change the problem-solving process. Even then, Dr. Newkirk actually wanted to change “how the world solves problems” one leader at a time. He fully realized what everyone probably went through simply to solve problems in organizations, one step at a time. He also understood quite well that the cost of problem-solving exceeded the cost of operations in many if not all organizations.  As a CEO himself, he knew quite well that the process people employed to solve problems in organizations was indeed a competitive disadvantage. Even way back then in the 20th Century, Dr. Newkirk had already become convinced that there had to be a better way to solve problems more rapidly.
